Boston College pulled off a stunning upset against No. 10 Florida State, leaving the Seminoles with a 0-2 record to start their season. This win is particularly shocking given Florida State's high ranking and the expectations surrounding their season. Ward, who transferred from Florida State after the 2022 season, played a key role in the upset, racking up 138 offensive yards, including a 13-yard touchdown reception. His dual-threat capabilities—77 yards rushing and 61 yards receiving—were instrumental in Boston College's success.

DJ Uiagalelei had a solid performance, completing 21 of 42 passes for 272 yards, including a 29-yard touchdown pass to Kentron Poitier in the third quarter. This touchdown narrowed Boston College's lead to 21-13, but Florida State couldn't muster a comeback.

This loss is a significant setback for the Seminoles, who were considered strong contenders for a spot in the 12-team College Football Playoff.
